County employees, appointed board members, and volunteers may work with records that involve an individual's private information. Each employee, board member, and volunteer must safeguard all personal confidential information contained in these records. Each employee, board member, and volunteer is required to comply with all state and federal laws regarding confidentiality, and must not reveal any confidential matters or data in the possession of Kiowa County. Any breach of confidence is a violation of trust and cause for disciplinary action including immediate termination of employment, board membership, and volunteer activities.
